Carbon Steels A709-50 material is stocked primarily in Flat Rolled Products, but is also available to a lesser extent in Structural and Bar Products. A709-50 ASTM A709 is fracture critical and covers the requirements for structural steel for
ASTM A572. The ASTM A572 specification is the Standard Specification for High-Strength Low-Alloy Columbium-Vanadium Structural Steel for plates used in general construction and structural applications. ASTM A572 includes five grades with specified minimum yield strengths of 42, 50 ASTM A572 Grade 50 Steel Equivalent, Gr 65, 60 Properties ASTM A572 Grade 50 Steel. ASTM A572 grade 50 steel is a low-alloy high-strength structural steel with a yield strength of 50 ksi (345 MPa) and a tensile strength of 65 ksi (450 MPa). It has better mechanical properties than ASTM A36 steel. ASTM A572 contains 5 yield point grades:Grade 42, Grade 50, Grade 55, Grade 60 and Grade 65. ASTM A572 Grade 50 plate thickness tolerance - Bebon SteelASTM A572 Grade 50 plate thickness tolerance ASTM A572 Grade 50 plate is HSLA structure steel under ASTM A572/ A572M santdand. It is usually calculated by theory weight. Due to thickness tolerance, the theory weight and actual weight of ASTM A572
A high-strength, low-alloy steel plate grade specified within G40.21 of the Canadian Standards Association (CSA). This grade is utilized in a variety of structural applications. It is also referred to as 350W, which is its metric designation. This material is also available as Charpy tested when referenced with a "T", such as 50WT / 350WT. GUIDE TO SELECTION - RyersonConforms to ASTM A572, SAE J1442 Grade 050X. Also available in Grades 42, 45, 55, 60, and 65. Most material is certified to A709 Gr. 50 bridge specification, through 4 in thickness. Standard impact tests are available upon request. May 26, 2017 · The only "Grade 50" plate I know of is, A572-Gr50. It is a standard structural steel, with a yield of 50KPSI. I machine it using standard SFM for milling and turning. milling:375-650 SFM milling using 1/2" AlTin, carbide, 4 -6 fl end mills turning:500-1020 SFM for turning, insert dependent. HSLA Steel Plate High Strength Low Alloy Kloeckner A572 is a HSLA steel plate that Kloeckner offers in grades 42, 50, 60, and 65. The most commonly used grade is the A572-50 it is considered a workhorse grade and shows up in structural applications, heavy construction equipment, building structures, and more. A572 steel is alloyed with small amounts of both Columbium and Vanadium. High Strength Low Alloy - Farwest SteelFarwest minimizes waste by processing A572-50 coil 3/16 to 1/2 thick material 48 to 96 wide material to any length using Farwests state of the art Bradbury cut-to-length line. Farwest carries a A656-70 product for plate in 1. Grade 80 specifications.

Tolerance under specified thickness.010". A 3/4 x 52" wide plate, for example, would have a tolerance range of.740/.780" Because of tolerances, i.e. thickness, flatness and camber, as well as the hot roll condition, ASTM A572 Grade 50 generally does not finish to specified thickness.
